Open Shots Basketball

Open Shots was established in 2025, as a free of charge, inclusive, basketball program for youth with physical challenges and neuro diversity.
It is both a structured and adaptive environment where players learn the fundamentals of basketball, while their confidence is prioritized.
The four week program welcomes players from 5 years old and up, with any level of basketball skills and experience.

Open Shots is each Monday in July from 3:30 until 4:30.

Open Shots' Mission
The means is basketball fundamentals. The mission is confidence reaffirming, comradery, and confidence building!
For Players and their Buddies.
Open Shots Format
With experienced coaches, we focus on the basic fundamentals of basketball.
We match our volunteers as a 'buddy' for each player.
Each session is split into 5 parts:
- Shooting
- Passing
- Dribbling
- Defense
- Rebounding
Followed by a short game!
Help Us Out!
We would love to be joined by high school and college athletes who would partner with one of our players, as a "buddy" for the sessions.
And volunteers from therapeutic programs or special education departments.
And anyone who would like to lend a hand, make a friend, and share their skills and time.
